Upward Soccer is easy, requiring only 1 practice & 1 game per week. In return your child gains age appropriate character and skill development for life on and off the field. Building competitive athletic skills, confidence, and spirit to strengthen your young athlete mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially. Our unique sub system ensures every young athlete plays.

Fall 2019 Season

K4-4th grade Boys & Girls Soccer

Prices: Cost per child is $90. After August 2 cost per child is $100.
Registration Deadline: August 12th
Evaluations: August 12, 6:00-7:30pm, in the Life Center (no cleats)
Practice: begins the week of August 26 (your coach will call you to confirm your practice date and time!)
First Game: Saturday, September 7
Last Game: Saturday, October 26
Awards Celebration: October 27 at 4:30 in the Contemporary Worship Room. Join us for our Fall Festival immediately afterwards. Wear your costume. Nothing scary please!

Only 1st-4th grade teams will have goalies. Fields will be larger to accommodate.

Practices are 1 hour and once a week on either Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday evenings starting between 5:00pm-5:45pm.

Coaches choose practice day and time. You will be informed of times once teams are drafted.

Needs: Quality game day uniform and other sport related gear

Leap Gymnastics is a recreational gymnastics program, with high quality instruction and a low teacher/student radio. We provide instruction on the bars, floor, beam, vault, and air track in a fun, wholesome, and safe environment.

*We will have class on all other holidays and teacher workdays.

Our Goals

That each child will leave the class having learned something new or perfecting a previously learned skill.

That each student will develop an awareness of safety, which is essential for participating in our program.

That each student will show respect and give encouragement to their classmates and teachers.

That each student will feel a sense of accomplishment and gain self-confidence through their participation in gymnastics.

Payment Policy

Payment is due the first week of each month. The second week is a grace period. After that a $10 late fee will be charged.

Checks should be made to SJUMC & cash should be in a sealed envelope with your child's name.

December will be prorated (50% off), but all other months will remain the same as holidays are factored in to tuition.

May special class events will cost $15

There are no make up classes if your child has to miss.

If I need to cancel due to personal illness such as flu or stomach virus, I will contact to you as soon as possible and make up the class on a Saturday morning.

If school is canceled due to dangerous weather, the gym will also close to keep our students safe. There will be no make up classes for severe weather days.


Katie is USA Gymnastics Safety Certified. As the director, her top priorities for this program are to provide quality instruction (with a low student/teacher ratio), a safe and encouraging environment, and for the children to enjoy seeing themselves progress week-by-week! She has been involved in the world of gymnastics from an early age, as her family owned a gym for 30 years. In addition to taking classes herself, she has 10 years of experience coaching. Katie is a wife, and mother of 3 wonderful children!
